Choosing a photographer is about more than finding beautiful images—you should also feel comfortable, prepared, and confident about the experience you're investing in. I've answered some of my most frequently asked questions below to help you know what to expect before, during, and after your session.

Investment
Portrait sessions are thoughtfully designed to provide a personalized experience from planning through final delivery.
Sitter Portraits — $250 A 20-minute milestone session including 5 digital images.
Petite Family Session — $350 A 30-minute family session including 5 digital images.
Lifestyle Newborn Session — $500 A one-hour in-home session including 5 digital images.
Cake Smash Portraits — $500 A customized first-birthday experience including 8 digital images.
Full Family Session — $500 A one-hour family session including 8 digital images.
Each session includes a specified number of individually hand-edited, high-resolution digital images with personal printing rights.
After viewing your proofing gallery, you'll select the images included with your collection. If you fall in love with more, additional images may be purchased individually or as a discounted gallery upgrade.
You are never required to purchase prints or products through me. I'm happy to recommend professional-quality labs that I personally trust for beautiful color, print quality, and customer service.
Most portrait sessions are booked directly with me so we can select the right session, date, and location for your family. Once we've decided on the details, you'll receive your photography agreement and reservation information. A non-refundable retainer is required to secure your date and is applied toward your total session fee.
Family mini sessions are released on specific dates throughout the year and are booked through a separate online reservation link.

HOW DO I BOOK?
Within two weeks of your session, I will cull the images and hand select the best images from each pose/grouping to hand edit each image. Your gallery will be sent to you via email and it will include the best images from your session. Through my site you will have the opportunity to select your favorite images for immediate download. Additional images are available for purchase, the number of images in your gallery depends on what I am able to capture during your session. Discount codes will be provided for the purchase of additional images.

WHERE DO SESSIONS TAKE PLACE?
I'm based in South Orange County and photograph families throughout South Orange County, including Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, Laguna Beach, San Juan Capistrano, and surrounding communities.
Outdoor sessions take place at carefully selected parks, trails, beaches, gardens, and natural settings chosen for their light and seasonal beauty.
I also continue to offer select Los Angeles-area session dates, including La Crescenta, La Cañada Flintridge, Pasadena, Glendale, and surrounding areas.
Lifestyle newborn and other in-home sessions take place in the comfort of your home.
Location planning is included with your session. I'll help you select a setting that complements your family, wardrobe, desired look, and the best available light for the time of year.
Travel fees may apply to locations outside my regular service areas.
WHEN WILL MY SESSION TAKE PLACE?
Beautiful natural light is an important part of my photography, so outdoor portrait times are selected according to the season, location, and lighting conditions.
Most outdoor sessions are photographed in the late afternoon or early evening, when the light becomes softer and more flattering. Certain specialty and styled sessions may be photographed in the morning.
In-home lifestyle newborn sessions offer greater scheduling flexibility and mostly take place in the morning when I find babies to be in a better mood.
When we plan your session, I'll recommend the time that will give us the best combination of beautiful light and a comfortable experience for your family.
Family sessions are about preserving your family as you are right now.
Whether you're celebrating a milestone, updating your annual family portraits, or simply documenting a season you don't want to forget, sessions combine gently guided portraits with natural interaction and genuine connection.
Two family experiences are available:
Petite Family Session — $350
Approximately 30 minutes with 5 digital images.
Full Family Session — $500
Approximately 60 minutes with 8 digital images and additional time for family combinations, siblings, and individual portraits.
Sessions include immediate family members. Extended-family sessions are also available; please contact me for customized pricing.
FAMILY PORTRAITS
Lifestyle newborn sessions are photographed in the comfort of your home and focus on the natural connection between your new baby and the people who love them most.
Your session includes baby, parents, and siblings and is approximately one hour.
There is no expectation that your newborn sleep through the session or pose a certain way. We follow your baby's lead and make time for feeding, changing, soothing, and snuggling whenever needed.
Lifestyle Newborn Sessions are $500 and include 5 digital images.
Because I reserve a limited number of newborn sessions each month to accommodate unpredictable arrival dates, booking during your second or third trimester is recommended.

Sitter
Sitter portraits celebrate one of baby's sweetest first-year milestones—that wonderful stage when they can confidently sit independently and their personality is beginning to shine.
These sessions typically take place between 6 and 9 months, although every baby develops at their own pace.
Sets are intentionally kept simple and timeless so the focus remains on your little one. Coordinating props and up to two outfit looks are included, with access to available pieces from my sitter client closet.
Sitter Portrait Sessions are $250 and include 5 digital images.

Turning one is worth celebrating!
Cake smash sessions are customized around your baby's first birthday and include a thoughtfully designed setup, coordinating décor and props, a smash cake, and access to available pieces from my client closet.
We'll begin with clean portraits of your little one before introducing the cake and letting them explore, taste, and make as much—or as little—of a mess as they'd like.
Every baby's reaction is different, and that's part of what makes these sessions so much fun.
Cake Smash Portrait Sessions are $500 and include 8 digital images.
If you'd like to use your photographs for birthday invitations or party décor, I recommend scheduling your session approximately 3–4 weeks before the celebration.
